Luten · Your Data
Two ways to do it, one of them without opening the app. This page says what goes, what stays, and for how long.

Open Luten, go to Profile, then Subscription, then Delete Account. Luten asks you to type DELETE, and the deletion starts as soon as you confirm. It works the same way on iPhone and on Android, and it is the route to prefer, because it also clears the data Luten saved on that phone.
Write to contact@onelifeco.app from the email address your Luten account signs in with, with "Delete my account" as the subject. Sending it from that address is how we know the request is yours. We ask for nothing else, and we will never ask you for your password. We then delete everything listed below that is stored on our servers, and reply to tell you it is done.
Sign in with Apple can give us a private relay address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com instead of your own address. That relay address, not the one your mail arrives from, is the one Luten holds, so please include it. On your iPhone you will find it in Settings, then your name at the top, then Sign in with Apple, then Luten.
Your sign-in account, so the login stops existing.
Your backed-up profile: your name, your email address, the section you chose, your bedtime and focus time, your reminder settings, your age range and gender, your plan and trial dates, a phone number if you added one, and the mixes you saved.
Your email preference, so nothing is left to write to you from.
Your referral code and any referral record tied to your account.
Any Luten waitlist signup with the same email address.
Your subscriber record at RevenueCat, which is what unlocked your plan on your devices.
Your person and your events in PostHog, our product analytics.
Your listening history, streaks, downloads, sound settings, profile photo and Sona conversations are held on your own phone and are never uploaded, so we cannot reach them from here. Deleting your account in the app clears them for that account. If you ask by email instead, delete the Luten app afterwards and they go with it.
Crash reports. They go to Sentry, the service that tells us when Luten breaks, and they are not deleted with your account. Sentry deletes them at the end of the retention period our plan sets, and deletes its own backups of them within 90 days of making them. We do not extend either period, and a crash report holds no name or email address.
Purchase records. Apple on iPhone, and Google Play on Android, keep their own record of what you bought so that purchases can be restored. That record is theirs, not ours, and their policy governs it.
Anonymous listening summaries. If you turned on Improve Recommendations, what it sent carries no account ID, no email address and no times, so nothing in it can be traced back to you, and nothing in it can be singled out and removed.
A deletion job, but only while it is needed. If one of the steps above cannot finish straight away, we keep a record holding your account's internal ID and nothing else, retry it every night, and delete the record itself as soon as the last step is done.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, and cancelling a subscription does not delete your account. Cancel on iPhone in your Apple ID settings, and on Android in Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by us.
In the app it begins the moment you confirm. By email we act on your request within 30 days, in practice within a few days, and we write back when it is done. Where one step has to be retried it runs again the following night, so a request can be fully finished the day after it is made.
Deletion is permanent. There is no restore, and signing up again later starts an empty account.
