Cassette · Your Data
Two ways to do it, one of them without opening the app. This page says what goes, what stays, and for how long.

Open Cassette, press EJECT to go to the Shelf, press ACCOUNT, and choose Delete account at the bottom of your Profile. Cassette asks you to confirm, and for your security it may ask you to sign in again first. It works the same way on iPhone and on Android, and it is the route to prefer, because it also removes the tapes saved on that phone.
Write to contact@onelifeco.app from the email address your Cassette account signs in with, with "Delete my Cassette account" as the subject. Sending it from that address is how we know the request is yours. We ask for nothing else, and we will never ask you for your password. We then delete everything listed below, and reply to tell you it is done.
Sign in with Apple can give us a private relay address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com instead of your own address. That relay address, not the one your mail arrives from, is the one Cassette holds, so please include it. On your iPhone you will find it in Settings, then your name at the top, then Sign in with Apple, then Cassette.
Your sign-in account, so the login stops existing.
Your backup: every recording, transcript, note, title and email draft stored with your account.
Your profile: your name, your email address, your sign-in method, your tape count and your email preference.
Your tapes are also saved on your own phone. Deleting your account in the app removes them from that phone. If you ask by email instead, delete the Cassette app afterwards and they go with it.
Purchase records. Apple on iPhone, and Google Play on Android, keep their own record of what you bought, and RevenueCat, which manages Cassette Premium for us, keeps one too, so that purchases can be restored. The stores' records are theirs, not ours, and their policies govern them. If you want your RevenueCat record deleted as well, say so in your email and we will delete it.
Usage events. The events described in our Privacy Policy stay with PostHog, our product analytics, linked to your account ID. They hold no recordings, transcripts or notes. If you want them deleted as well, say so in your email and we will delete them.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, and cancelling a subscription does not delete your account. Cancel on iPhone in your Apple ID settings, and on Android in Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by us.
Deletion is permanent. There is no restore, and signing up again later starts an empty account.
Write to contact@onelifeco.app, or use the Contact page. Our Privacy Policy sets out everything Cassette collects and why.
